Mission: The mission is to ensure that adequate care and support is provided to both orphans and vulnerable children and assisting such children to be educated and trained so as to be successful and useful members who can contribute productively to their societal development.

Number People Served: We have 6,000 orphans but up to now we are able to reach 3,000.

SHI Partnership Began: 2009

Current Needs: School fees, food, school materials, school uniforms, medicines and seminars.

Project Overview: The project plans to serve orphans who are at homes and to provide them health, educational and moral support. Orphans will be cared by their families and Rainbow Centre will be coordinator between families and children.

Specific Project Activities are as follows:
Provide foster support to a significant number of  OVCs to grow and develop, spiritually, physically and mentally. The project will support
Orphans( OVCs) to access normal and better standards of living. Besides that shelter and better nutrition will be provided to ensure that balanced diet for better growth.

This will involve:
a) Identification and mobilization of orphans: The project will set up a system to identify deserving orphans from the communities throughout  Rainbow catchment areas.
b) Pay school fees, uniforms and other scholastic materials.
c) Provide food and medication
d) Sensitizing various stakeholders on the special needs of the orphans and vulnerable children.
e) Ensure quality education for the orphans.f) Organize meetings with the guardians, committees and Local leaders.
