(Perpetual Adorers of the Blessed Sacrament Order)

Mission:  The Perpetual Adoration of Jesus in the Eucarist, to pray for the needs of the world, and to promote evangelization in the community by providing the faithful a place for adoration and retreat.

Number Served: 16 nuns and 20 families in the community.

Project Overview: The order of Adoratrices Perpetuas del Santisimo Sacramento was established Rome, Italy in 1808. They arrived at the Tijuana Diocesis in 1991, and are exclusively devoted to the practice of Perpetual Adoration of Jesus in the Eucarist. The nuns observe formal clausura, or cloister, and it is forbiden for them to go outside their material cloister without permission, or without a good and serious motivesuch as: fire, leprosy, or contagious malady. Their days are spent in prayer, adoration, and the making of altar-breads, vestments, and church ornaments.
